And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Gwen Towbar and Alan Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith throws a head kick that misses.
Yates appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Yates blocks the body kick.
Yates is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Yates paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Smith throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Smith misses with a series of wild punches.
Smith misses with a two punch combination.
Yates is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Yates cracks Smith with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

It looks like Greg Smith has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Smith will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Smith misses with a wild combination.

Yates tries to land a leg kick but Smith saw it coming and moves away.
No joy there for Smith, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Smith moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Yates throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Yates. Smith shrugs it off though.
Smith takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Smith misses with a double jab.
Yates misses with a jab, cross combination.
Smith swings widly with a right hand
and Yates counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Yates fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Smith has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Yates, right into the meat.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Smith closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Yates connects with a looping right hand.
Smith misses with a body kick.
Yates drops Smith with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Smith! Yates dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
