Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jason Lee Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Imre Szeltan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Scott comes to the cage accompanied by Go, Go Power Rangers. The key to victory for Jason Lee Scott has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Imre Szeltan!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Alec Ball and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Szeltan swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Szeltan takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.


It looks like Imre Szeltan has been cut.
Scott scores with a crisp jab that stopped Szeltan in his tracks.

Szeltan avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Scott throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Szeltan takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Scott has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Montreal Fighter's Gym (4.5* Sparring) in the buildup to the fight.

Szeltan fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Scott avoids it really well and circles away.

Scott is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Szeltan misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Scott appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.

Szeltan shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Scott napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Szeltan wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Scott, who protects the arm well.
Scott pushes Szeltan away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Szeltan gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Szeltan thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Szeltan goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Scott rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Szeltan's guard! Nice work there by Scott!

Szeltan had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Scott defends it easily.

Szeltan escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Scott gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Scott wants to get up but he can't break Szeltan's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Scott decides to stand back up. Scott steps back and let's Szeltan get back to his feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Scott knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Szeltan on the ground.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Szeltan works over Scott with some ground and pound from guard.
Scott wants to control but Szeltan passes easily into half guard.

My spies in Pitbull MMA inform me that Szeltan has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Szeltan wants to work for an arm triangle but Scott is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

That was a close round but I would say that Jason Lee Scott will probably get the nod.

Scott pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Szeltan back to the cage. Scott follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Szeltan tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Szeltan has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Szeltan goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Scott has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Szeltan but great work by Scott.

and Scott counters with a straight right hand.

Szeltan tries to clinch up but Scott circles away and keeps his distance.
Szeltan is still on wobbly legs! Can Scott finish him?

Scott lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Szeltan goes down and covers up as Scott starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:08 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jason Lee Scott!
An out of breath Jason Lee Scott thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
