Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kivi.

Kivi closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kivi lands in his opponent's guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Kivi shoots in looking for a takedown. Jones tries to sprawl out of it but Kivi keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jones manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Kivi has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jones is working away from the top position though.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Jones controlling the pace.
Jones is nestled in close to Kivi, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Jones works his way into full mount!

Kivi misses with a takedown

and Jones counters with a shoot takedown. Kivi fights it but they end up in guard.
Kivi keeping moving, preventing Jones from controlling successfully.
Jones stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kivi swivels though and keeps the full guard.

and Jones counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Kivi is looking for a triangle but Jones pushes his legs off easily.
Jones landing some decent shots from guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Kivi wants to stand and escape but Jones is having none of it.

Kivi must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Greg Jones.
Well Jones has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
