Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between pat lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Heisus Alantra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
lee tries to work over Alantra's front leg with a kick but Alantra checks it.
No luck for Alantra with that takedown attempt.
lee tries a head kick but it misses.

lee bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
lee really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
The referee asks lee politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. lee prefers to stall for the moment though.
Alantra gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Alantra is not content to let lee control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

lee thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Alantra's head.

Alantra is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but lee pulls his head out easily.
lee knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Alantra on the ground.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

lee shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Alantra's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
lee wants to control from the top but Alantra keeps moving.

lee thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
lee is breathing heavily.

lee avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
lee will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

lee is looking to take a break and control but Alantra is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
lee lands with a straight right. Alantra didn't see that one coming.

and lee counters with a nice double leg into side control. Alantra won't be happy with that.
Alantra is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on lee's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Alantra has his foot on lee's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. lee works his way back into a safe position though.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Alantra has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think lee should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Alantra has tightened it up now! lee should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
