Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gregorio Leonard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ernesto Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ernesto Silva has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leonard fails to land the takedown.
Silva feints the counter takedown.
Ernesto Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A bone on bone clash there as Leonard blocks the leg kick.

Leonard moves into the clinch successfully.
Leonard is trying to maintain a safe position but Silva gets an underhook and turns Leonard into the cage.

Leonard gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Silva regains guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Silva is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Leonard is aware though and is defending well.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Leonard lands a couple of digs.

Silva isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Leonard stacks Silva on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Leonard!

Silva drops back looking for a leg! Leonard is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Leonard manages to kick Silva off! Silva jumps back into Leonard's guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Leonard shoots in looking for a takedown. Silva tries to sprawl out of it but Leonard keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Silva manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Silva throws a push kick but Leonard slaps the foot to one side.
Leonard shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Silva but Silva pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Ernesto Silva showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Leonard tries to keep at a distance but Silva has taken the fight into the clinch.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Silva creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Silva cracks Leonard with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Well Silva has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
