The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruell keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

It looks like Ne Hi has been cut.
Hi tries to land a body kick
and Ruell counters with a nice uppercut.
Ruell ducks under a wild hook from Hi.
Ruell lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Hi throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
The fighters circling - Hi throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Ruell tries to land a front kick but Hi steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Ruell has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

and Ruell counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
