The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Szczevnikov clinches up with Some and pushes him back against the cage.
Szczevnikov pulls guard.
Some drops back looking for a leg! Szczevnikov is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Szczevnikov manages to kick Some off! Some jumps back into Szczevnikov's guard.
Some drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Szczevnikov dives on top into guard.
Szczevnikov trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Szczevnikov has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Szczevnikov wants to clinch up but Some keeps it at a distance.

Some tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Szczevnikov wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Some trying to get back to full guard but Szczevnikov takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
Szczevnikov lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Szczevnikov scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Some can't escape the position.
Some is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Szczevnikov is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Some can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Some is rocked!
Szczevnikov postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Some in real trouble here! The ref calls for Some to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
