Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Sammie Day!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Greg Favorite!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Sam Margolis and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Favorite moves into the clinch successfully.
Favorite slowing the pace effectively.
Favorite lands an elbow just above Day 's eye.

Favorite manages to break the clinch.

Favorite shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Day is trying to defend but Favorite finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Favorite working Day over with strikes.


It looks like Sammie Day has been cut.
Favorite is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Favorite scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Day tries to kick Favorite off but Favorite keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Day moves into full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Day working a defensive guard here.
Favorite preventing the sweep.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Favorite wants to stand but Day is controlling his posture from full guard.
Favorite trying to control but Day is working from the bottom.

Favorite gets to his feet. Day looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Day really is a fat lump.

Favorite closes the distance and pushes Day back into the cage.

Favorite breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Favorite's coach down at Quick Fingers BEST BANG FOR BUCK Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Favorite's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Favorite misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Day tries to counter by clinching up but Favorite breaks away and moves out of range.
Favorite throws a head kick that half lands.
Favorite connects with an inside leg kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Day drives through with a takedown into Favorite's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Day won't allow Favorite to sweep him here.
Day loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Favorite pulls Day in close to prevent any damage.
Favorite throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Favorite has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Day should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Favorite has tightened it up now! Day should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
