Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Francesco Cerci!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Ren Mimura and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cerci moves out of range of the body kick from Okunaba.
Cerci changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Horrible takedown attempt by Cerci or perhaps it was just good defense by Okunaba, which made it look bad.

Cerci is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Okunaba's half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cerci wants to pass the guard but Okunaba is defending well.
Still in half guard, Cerci seems content to control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Okunaba wants to improve his position but Cerci is controlling well.
Cerci stalling.
Cerci is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Okunaba reverses the position - he's now on top in Cerci's guard.

Okunaba trying to control the position from guard on top but Cerci is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Okunaba tries to stand but Cerci is controlling from the bottom.
Cerci is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Cerci is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Cerci trying to control from half guard but Okunaba is working away.

Okunaba looking for submissions off his back.
Cerci content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Okunaba might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Cerci works his way into side control.
Cerci fails to land a wild elbow strike.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Okunaba is not content to let Cerci control the position.

Okunaba trying to control but Cerci flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!
Cerci wants to control but Okunaba manages to buck him off and is now in Cerci's guard! Nice work there by Okunaba!

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Cerci is on top in guard.

Cerci postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Cerci trying to control but Okunaba is working from the bottom.
Okunaba throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Cerci pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Okunaba is keeping the position for now.
Cerci wants to control from the top but Okunaba keeps moving.
Cerci working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Cerci looking to pass the guard.
Cerci is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Francesco Cerci dominated that round.
That's time! Okunaba's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Okunaba scores with a spinning back kick!
Cerci doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Okunaba misses with a body kick.
A decent looking cross lands there for Okunaba.
Cerci takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Okunaba fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Cerci on the side of the head.
Okunaba throws a leg kick which misses Cerci's front leg but catches the back leg as Cerci tries to avoid it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A solid body kick from Okunaba.
Okunaba throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Cerci is breathing heavily.
Okunaba swings for the body but Cerci moves out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Okunaba pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Okunaba misses with a body shot.
Okunaba misses with a body kick.
Kenton Okunaba is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Nice takedown defense from Okunaba. No joy for Cerci on that attempt.
Okunaba turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Cerci shoots in but no luck this time.
Okunaba jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
Nice uppercut there from Okunaba.
A slapping body kick lands there for Okunaba.

Okunaba lands a big head kick that sends Cerci tumbling to the mat! Okunaba takes a step backwards and waves Cerci back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Cerci is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Okunaba fakes the body blow, causing Cerci to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Cerci goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Kenton Okunaba!
An out of breath Kenton Okunaba thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
