Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cyrus Kendall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Turner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bobby Turner has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Cyrus Kendall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Bobby Turner!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Dmitry Maklakov and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Turner is defended easily by Kendall.
Turner has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Turner on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Kendall lands with an uppercut that bounces Turner off the ropes and back into range.
Turner tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kendall swivels and escapes.
Kendall swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Kendall lunges at Turner with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Turner's hand.
Kendall scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kendall scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Kendall misses with an uppercut. Turner saw that one coming.

Turner closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Kendall did well to prevent Turner getting side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Turner drops an elbow to the side of Kendall's head.
Kendall throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Turner winds up and cracks Kendall with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Kendall has hold of Turner's hands but Turner slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Turner scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Turner not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Kendall has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Turner is trying to control the action in half guard but Kendall is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Turner looks to land a strike but Kendall avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Turner lands a couple of digs.
Turner stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kendall swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Turner throws a big right hand that misses.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Turner lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Kendall is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Kendall throws a looping overhand right but Turner ducks down to avoid it.
Turner changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Turner looks for a takedown but Kendall sprawls well.
Cyrus Kendall has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bobby Turner.

Turner feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Turner must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Kendall is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Turner is aware though and is defending well.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Turner accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Turner lands a couple of elbows.
Turner postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Kendall is trying to keep Turner in close.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The fighters circling - Kendall throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Kendall is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Kendall tries to bum rush Turner with a series of wild strikes but Turner uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Turner.
Kendall tries to counter by clinching up but Turner breaks away and moves out of range.
Turner avoids the body shot from Kendall.

Kendall stuns Turner with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Kendall works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Turner.
Kendall takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Cyrus Kendall will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Turner blocks a leg kick.
Turner with the counter takedown but Kendall avoids it easily.
Turner shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kendall as he avoids it easily.
Turner uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kendall.
Turner dives in and grabs Kendall's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kendall pushes down on Turner's head and hops out.

Kendall gets caught flat footed, as Turner shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Kendall controls Turner momentarily but Turner frees himself.
Turner landing some decent shots from guard.
Turner lands a couple of decent looking shots.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Turner makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Kendall will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Kendall bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Turner's guard.

Turner is adopting a defensive guard.

Kendall wants to pass the guard but Turner is keeping the position.
Kendall won't allow Turner to sweep him here.
Turner keeping moving, preventing Kendall from controlling successfully.
Turner is pulling down on Kendall's head. It's preventing any offense from Kendall, at least for the moment.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Turner shoots in and bounces Kendall off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard.

Turner throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kendall works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Kendall manages to work his way to half guard, despite Turner's best efforts.

Bobby Turner showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Turner works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Turner is looking to take a break and control but Kendall is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
