Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sandy Curtis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Proba Proba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Proba Proba has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Sandy Curtis's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sandy Curtis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Proba Proba!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Aafke Stam and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Proba thows a leg kick but Curtis checks it

and Curtis holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Proba decides to pull guard.
Proba bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Curtis's guard.

Proba wants to get up but he can't break Curtis's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Curtis working for a triangle but Proba defends it easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Curtis controls Proba momentarily but Proba frees himself.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Proba prevents Curtis from getting back to his feet.

Curtis wants to stand up but Proba is controlling him.
Curtis could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Curtis pushes Proba off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Curtis closes the distance and clinches.

Proba jumps guard and drags Curtis to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Curtis working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Curtis throws a big right hand that misses.

Proba looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Curtis passes into side control.
Curtis in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Curtis fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Proba is trying to improve his position.

Proba wants to control but Curtis postures up.
Curtis gets to mount! Proba was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Proba is looking to get to half guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Curtis working over Proba with some ground and pound. Proba looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Curtis throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Proba throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Proba wants to get back to full guard but Curtis has passed into side control.
Proba tries to bench press Curtis off him but Curtis keeps the position.
Proba is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Curtis is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Curtis avoids the attempt from Proba to control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Proba clinches up with Curtis and pushes him back against the cage.
Proba tries to pull guard but Curtis won't allow it.

Proba drops down looking for an ankle pick but Curtis pulls his leg out and moves away.
No joy there for Proba, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Curtis appears to be looking for a big counter.

Curtis tries to pull guard but Proba forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

It looks like Sandy Curtis has been cut.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Proba tries for a takedown. No joy.
Sandy Curtis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Proba Proba.

As Proba looks to move away, Curtis throws a big counter combo bu Proba just gets out of the way.
Sandy Curtis is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Proba changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Curtis tries to avoid it but Proba manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Curtis to the ground. Curtis escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Proba Proba seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Curtis stuffs the takedown.
Horrible takedown attempt by Proba or perhaps it was just good defense by Curtis, which made it look bad.
As Proba looks to move away, Curtis throws a big counter combo bu Proba just gets out of the way.
Proba will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Curtis drops down looking for a counter takedown but Proba sprawls and moves away.
Proba is breathing heavily.

Proba shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Curtis but Curtis pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Proba leaves Curtis with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Proba looks to land a combination but Curtis avoids it well.
Proba closes this distance looking for a takedown but Curtis circles away.
Curtis drops down looking for a counter takedown but Proba sprawls and moves away.

Proba clinches.
Proba is looking to control Curtis's arms but Curtis gets an underhook and turns him. Now Proba has his back to the cage.
Proba looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Curtis fails to pull guard.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Curtis takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Curtis is adopting a defensive guard.
Curtis is trying to control the position but Proba postures up.
Curtis looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Proba passes into half guard.
Curtis wants to get back to his feet.

Proba tries to stand and escape but Curtis is controlling the position.

Proba Proba showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Proba shoots in for a takedown but Curtis shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Curtis went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Proba throws a series of punches but Curtis avoids them all with ease.
It looked like Curtis was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Proba shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Curtis pinned against the cage. Curtis gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Curtis has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Proba uses from the top position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Curtis has his hands on Proba's head, controlling the position.
Proba is looking to work some ground and pound but Curtis has wrist control.
Proba is looking to stand up but Curtis won't let him.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Proba thuds a left hand into Curtis's body.

Proba misses with a takedown attempt - Curtis sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Curtis tries to counter with a takedown but Proba is quick to defend against it.

Proba is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Curtis is defending well for now.
Proba drops down looking for an ankle pick but Curtis pulls his leg out and moves away.

and Curtis counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Proba!

Proba is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Proba is looking for a sweep.
An elbow from Curtis crashes against the mat.
Proba wants to get back to his feet but Curtis drags him back down.
A control attempt from Proba but he's now mounted!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
BOOM! Curtis connects with a massive shot to the dome!
