Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Hans Goble (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gregor Samsa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Gregor Samsa!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Josh West and Colin Fray.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Samsa throws a sloppy head kick and Goble moves out of range easily.
Samsa leaves Goble with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

and Samsa counters with a one-two to the body.
Goble shoots for a double leg takedown but Samsa sprawls well. He's pushed Goble's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Samsa really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Goble. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Samsa gets caught napping as Goble dives in and scores a takedown. Samsa manages to retain guard.

Samsa pushes Goble off and scrambles back to his feet.
Goble shoots in for a takedown but Samsa shows good takedown defense.
Goble tries to clinch there but Samsa circles away.

and Samsa counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Samsa gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Samsa wants to stand up but Goble is controlling him.
Samsa is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Goble is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Samsa is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Samsa has escaped and now he's on top!


Goble has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Samsa can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Samsa is looking to stand up but Goble won't let him.

Goble is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Samsa is aware though and is defending well.

Goble is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Samsa decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Goble changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Samsa tries to avoid it but Goble manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Samsa to the ground. Samsa escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Goble is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Samsa can do to turn this around?

letting Samsa counter with a right hand.


It looks like Hans Goble has been cut.
Nice takedown defense from Samsa. No joy for Goble on that attempt.
Samsa throws a nice looking combination but Goble bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Goble throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Samsa throws a nice head kick!
Goble misses with a takedown
and Samsa makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Samsa lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Gregor Samsa is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Goble's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Samsa connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Goble scrambles back to his feet.


Goble is rocked!
Goble takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Oh Goble is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Samsa fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Goble, pushing him back against the cage.

Samsa breaks from the clinch.
Goble seems to have got his legs back now.
Samsa lands a big head kick that sends Goble to the canvas! Samsa follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:39 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gregor Samsa!
