Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Devontae Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Lesnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Davis kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is "It's Okay (One Blood)" by The Game feat. Junior Reid. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, Devontae Davis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, James Lesnar!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Elvis Blanc and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Davis closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Davis is trying to break the clinch but Lesnar has him pressed against the cage.

Lesnar's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Lesnar fails with a takedown attempt.
Lesnar tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Davis swivels and escapes.
Davis tries to bum rush Lesnar with a series of wild strikes but Lesnar uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Lesnar avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Davis really is a fat lump.
Davis fails with an attempt to clinch.
Lesnar swats away the attempt to clinch by Davis.
Lesnar tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Davis looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Davis is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lesnar shoots in but Davis avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Devontae Davis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Lesnar.
Davis wants to clinch up but Lesnar keeps it at a distance.
Davis doesn't manage to clinch there - Lesnar circles away.
Lesnar changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Davis ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lesnar moves away.
Horrible takedown attempt by Lesnar or perhaps it was just good defense by Davis, which made it look bad.

Lesnar changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Davis looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Davis tries to buck Lesnar off but Lesnar is having none of it.
My spies in Pitbull MMA inform me that Lesnar has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Lesnar winds up and cracks Davis with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Lesnar connects with a nice short shot to Davis's temple.
Lesnar looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Davis is looking to improve his position.

Lesnar really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Davis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Davis tries to kick Lesnar off but Lesnar keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Still in half guard, Lesnar seems content to control.
Davis pushes Lesnar off looking to stand but Lesnar dives back in and keeps control.
Lesnar wants to lay and pray for a moment but Davis keeps working.
Davis tries to get to full guard but Lesnar has control of the leg.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Davis wants to get back to his feet.

Davis looks like he's trying to stand up.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Lesnar closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Davis to the mat! Davis manages to get full guard.
Lesnar is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Davis is looking to stand up but Lesnar isn't so interested in that idea.

Davis is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Lesnar is trying to control the action in half guard but Davis is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

James Lesnar dominated that round.
That's time! Davis's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Davis wants to stand back up but Lesnar manages to pass into side control.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Lesnar cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Davis might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Lesnar connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Lesnar postures up and throws a massive shot that knocks Davis out cold! Two more strikes to his unconscious opponent for good luck and this one is all over! Lesnar goes absolutely crazy with his corner! Wow, you can see how much that win means to him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). James Lesnar!
