so Wagner counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Wagner stands and steps away. Carpenter gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Wagner is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Carpenter stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Carpenter wants it to stay on the feet.

Wagner is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Carpenter can do to turn this around?
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Wagner in particular looking to stall.
Wagner's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Wagner shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Carpenter as he avoids it easily.
Carpenter smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Wagner drops his hands for a split second and Carpenter immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Wagner face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Carpenter follows up with a right hand that knocks Wagner into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!
