Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Geraldo Ramirez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Pound House!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Shigeki Sano and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
House misses with a series of wild punches.

House clinches up with Ramirez and pushes him back against the cage.
Ramirez has House pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. House manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
House wants to get back to striking at distance but Ramirez won't allow it.
House fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Ramirez gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from House.
Ramirez tries to pull guard but House holds him up against the cage and eventually Ramirez drops back down to his feet.
Ramirez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ramirez landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Ramirez keeps control of House as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

That's one minute gone in the round.
House wants to take the fight to the mat but Ramirez manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Geraldo Ramirez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pound House.
Ramirez tries to pull guard but House forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Ramirez breaks the clinch.

House closes the distance and pushes Ramirez back into the cage.

Ramirez successfully pulls guard.
Ramirez has a closed guard, preventing House from standing up.
Ramirez not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
House is stalling in the full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Let's hope that House has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Ramirez working for a triangle but House defends it easily.
House won't allow Ramirez to get back to his feet.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Pound House seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

House manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Ramirez on his heels. He'll look to pass Ramirez's guard now, I'm sure.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
House forces his way into half guard.
Well, if House is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
House throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
House prevents Ramirez from improving his position.
House wants to free his trapped foot but Ramirez is holding on for dear life with his legs.
House slows the pace down in half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Ramirez looks like he's trying to stand up.
House missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
House works his foot free and advances to mount.
Ramirez is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
House looking to control and managing it successfully.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pound House dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


House looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
A head kick misses from House.
House tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Pound House is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Excellent takedown into side control there by House.

House is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Ramirez looks calm but he's in trouble here. House gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Ramirez is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! House lets go of the hold and Ramirez can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Pound House!
