The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holmdona avoids a punch combination nicely.

Holmdona lands a big right hand that sends Bond Jr crashing to the mat! Holmdona stays standing though and waves Bond Jr back to his feet!

It looks like Jamie Bond Jr has been cut.
Bond Jr lands with a nice combination. Holmdona backs away looking to recover.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bond Jr tries to bum rush Holmdona with a series of wild strikes but Holmdona uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Holmdona drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Bond Jr defends it well.
Bond Jr misses with a double jab.
Bond Jr throws a series of punches but Holmdona moves out of range.
Bond Jr swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Bond Jr throws a hook but Holmdona avoids it easily.
Holmdona fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bond Jr avoids it really well and circles away.

and Holmdona counters with a nice right hand that sends Bond Jr toppling to the canvas! Bond Jr scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Holmdona finish him?!
Bond Jr is breathing heavily.
Bond Jr tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Holmdona was well out of range. Poor timing from Bond Jr.
Holmdona uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Bond Jr.

Holmdona gets control of Bond Jr's arms and successfully pulls guard. Holmdona will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Holmdona has his hands on Bond Jr's head, controlling the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Holmdona is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
