PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bones Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean Dolinger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dolinger comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Can't Be Touched kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Sean Dolinger told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bones Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sean Dolinger!
The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Darius Henderson and Steve Erwin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dolinger walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Dolinger shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jones as he jumps to the side.

Dolinger closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Jones tries to kick Dolinger off but Dolinger keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Dolinger wants to take a breather but Jones is having none of it.
Jones is trying to stand back up but Dolinger is controlling him
Dolinger trying to control from Jones's half guard. Jones has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Dolinger looking to sit in guard and control but Jones gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Jones wants to stand but Dolinger is controlling his posture from full guard.

Jones stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Jones scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Dolinger shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jones sprawls well. Jones wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Dolinger gets slowly back to his feet.

Dolinger closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Jones did well to prevent Dolinger getting side control.
Dolinger should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Jones manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jones sends Dolinger crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Jones is motioning to the referee to let Dolinger up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Dolinger is rocked!
Dolinger is holding his hands too far apart here. Jones throws a hard, straight punch right down the pipe and BOOM! Dolinger is out! That punch landed square on the jaw - what a shot!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Bones Jones!
A very excited looking Bones Jones made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
The defeated Sean Dolinger had this to say: 'You know, I came into this thinking I was gonna win, but I didn't. I'll watch the fight, see what went wrong, fix it, and hopefully next time I'll get the win.'.
