Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cain Velascez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cece Leary (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Velascez fails to land the takedown.
Leary manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Velascez on his heels. He'll look to pass Velascez's guard now, I'm sure.
Leary won't allow Velascez to sweep him here.

Leary wants to stand but Velascez has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Leary goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Velascez is on top in guard.
Leary has his foot on Velascez's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Velascez works his way back into a safe position though.

Leary is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Velascez is aware though and is defending well.

Velascez goes for a double leg but Leary avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Leary continues to drive forward.
A slapping leg kick lands for Velascez.
Leary shoots in but no luck this time.
Velascez shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

and Leary counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Leary fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Velascez to the ground. Leary is now in Velascez's guard.

Leary stands up over Velascez, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Velascez doesn't manage to clinch there - Leary circles away.

Leary content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Velascez has locked up a guillotine! Velascez's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Leary is holding on here and Velascez must be using up a lot of energy. Leary has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Velascez gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
