Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Trenton Todd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Conor Brophy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Todd looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Brophy!

Brophy tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Todd wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Todd tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Todd has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Todd is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Brophy knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Brophy controls Todd momentarily but Todd frees himself.

Brophy is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Todd wants to get up but he can't break Brophy's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Todd could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Brophy shoots in but Todd avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Todd closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Brophy's guard.
Todd might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Brophy had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Todd defends it easily.

It looked like Todd was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Todd went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Brophy drives through and clinches with Todd against the cage.

Brophy fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Todd avoids it really well and circles away.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Brophy has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Todd. Oh but Brophy has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Todd goes limp - he's gone! Brophy jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!

After the fight, Conor Brophy was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
