The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mormeck drops his hands momentarily and Landry takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Landry throws a head kick but Mormeck moves out of range.
Mormeck is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Landry avoids a kick to the body.
Landry fires out a quick counter leg kick but Mormeck just manages to avoid it.
Landry tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
A clash of legs there as Mormeck blocks the low kick.
Mormeck goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Landry tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Mormeck throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
It looked like Landry was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Mormeck.

Nice uppercut lands for Landry. That snapped Mormeck's head back.
Mormeck swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Landry throws out a loose jab but Mormeck uses good head movement to avoid it.

Mormeck throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Landry tries to clinch but Mormeck is having none of it.

Mormeck walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Landry is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Mormeck has just dragged him back down to the mat.
