The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sky ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Thompson moves away.
Thompson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sky is fending him off so far but Thompson persists. Nope, Sky circles away and we're back to standing.

Thompson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Thompson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Sky regains half guard.

Thompson is looking for a kimura here.
Sky wants to control but Thompson is keeping busy.

Thompson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sky gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Thompson is looking for a triangle but Sky pushes his legs off easily.

Sky drops back looking for a leg! Thompson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Thompson manages to kick Sky off! Sky jumps back into Thompson's guard.

Sky works his foot free and advances to mount.
Thompson has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.

You can see the frustration on Thompson's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Sky has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.

Sky is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Thompson defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Thompson drops back, looking for a kneebar! Sky looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Sky looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Sky!

Sky drops Thompson with a beautiful combination! Thompson stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Sky is looking for the KO!

Sky moves in close and cracks Thompson with a massive right hand! Thompson, frozen momentarily in time, tumbles to the canvas, already out cold! A brutal knockout by Sky!
