PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tyrone Boone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wendel Clark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boone comes to the cage accompanied by Westside Connection Feat. Knoc-Turn'Al - Lights Out. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boone tries to close the distance and clinch up but Clark swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Clark feints and then cracks Boone's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Boone down.
Boone tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Clark manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Boone buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Boone throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Clark wants to counter with a clinch but Boone pushes him away.
Clark misses with a jab, cross combination.
Boone looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Boone lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Clark has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Clark and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Clark does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Clark lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Clark has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
