The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson tries a head kick but it misses.

Johnson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Larsen looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Larsen is looking to reverse the position.
Johnson is staying tight to Larsen's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Johnson misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Johnson decides to stand up, so the ref orders Larsen to his feet.
Larsen is looking to clinch but Johnson is avoiding it.

Johnson drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Johnson tries to free his leg and advance position but Larsen is retaining full guard.
Johnson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Johnson drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Larsen manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Johnson has Larsen in his guard.

Johnson tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Johnson is looking to stand up but Larsen isn't so interested in that idea.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Johnson wants to control but Larsen passes easily into half guard.

Larsen tries to stand and escape but Johnson is controlling the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Larsen seems to be working for a kimura but Johnson defends the submission attempt.

Johnson is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Larsen has latched onto it... Big trouble! Larsen pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Johnson is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Larsen!
