Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Doyle Hawk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hideo Itami (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hawk comes into the arena with American Encore blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawk tries to clinch up.

Itami closes the distance and pushes Hawk back into the cage.
Hawk misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Itami.

Itami decides to pull guard.

Hawk is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Hawk has gone for a leg lock! Itami slips out almost immediately though and dives into Hawk's guard.

Hawk is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Hawk has his foot on Itami's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Itami works his way back into a safe position though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hawk had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Itami defends it easily.

Hawk is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Itami rolls with it to try and escape but Hawk cranks on the arm and Itami is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

In his post fight interview, Doyle Hawk started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
