The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dam looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Mordovorot!
Mordovorot tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Dam wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Dam is looking to take a break and control but Mordovorot is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Dam dives in for a single leg takedown but Mordovorot sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Mordovorot unleashes a big counter combination but Dam bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Mordovorot leaves Dam with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Dam tries to clinch up.
Dam shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Mordovorot eats them both and turns towards Dam to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Dam is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Mordovorot can do to turn this around?

Mordovorot pushes Dam off looking to stand but Dam dives back in and keeps control.

Dam is looking to work some ground and pound but Mordovorot has wrist control.

Mordovorot escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dam gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Dam is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Mordovorot is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Mordovorot has escaped and now he's on top!

Dam is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Mordovorot will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Dam appears to be looking for a big counter.
Mordovorot lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
No joy there for Mordovorot, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Dam shoots in for a double leg but Mordovorot sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

and Mordovorot counters with a series of strikes. Dam will be more careful next time no doubt.
Dam tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mordovorot sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Dam somewhat.
Despite the aggression on Mordovorot's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

and Mordovorot counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Mordovorot avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

It looked like Dam was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
