Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steven Jason (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Bob!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steven Jason!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, George Francis and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jason connects with a body shot that sends Bob's belly button to the back.
Jason shoots and misses
and Bob counters with a nice body shot.
Jason circles away from the clinch attempt

and Jason counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Bob avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Jason.
Jason wants to free his trapped foot but Bob is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Jason is working for a submission of some sort.
Jason throwing shots but Bob is blocking nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jason has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jason takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Jason avoids the attempt from Bob to control.
Bob is squirming around, avoiding Jason's attempts to control the action.
Jason sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Jason is trying to control here but Bob has managed to regain half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Bob trying to hold on to Jason's head to control him but Jason postures up.

Jason seems to be looking for submissions.
Bob preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Jason is thwarting Bob's attempts to control the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Bob is defending against the submission attempts here by Jason.
Jason stops Bob from getting back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jason wants to free his trapped foot but Bob is holding on for dear life with his legs.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Jason throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Jason looks winded!
Bob tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Bob tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Jason defends well and Bob ends up having to push Jason into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Jason wants to counter the offense by Bob and move into the clinch position.
Bob could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Bob shoots in looking for a takedown but Jason manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Bob's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Bob sets himself, and Jason steps forward looking for the clinch! Bob avoids it this time.
Jason throws a head kick that misses.
Jason shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bob pinned against the cage. Bob gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Good leg kick by Bob there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Bob closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Bob lands in his opponent's guard.
Jason is trying to control the position but Bob postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Steven Jason dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Bob has managed to clinch.
Bob stalling the fight.

Bob escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jason has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Jason takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Bob stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bob wants it to stay on the feet.
Bob throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

so Jason counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Jason trying to control the position from guard on top but Bob is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Jason throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Bob works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Jason is breathing heavily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bob working a defensive guard but Jason passes into half guard.
Jason wants to take a breather but Bob is having none of it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bob wants to improve his position but Jason is controlling well.
Jason wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bob keeps working.
Jason tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Bob.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Jason tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bob swivels and escapes.
Bob looks for the body kick but Jason saw that one coming.
Nice takedown defense from Bob. No joy for Jason on that attempt.
Bob tries to counter by clinching up but Jason breaks away and moves out of range.
Frank Bob has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Steven Jason.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Jason gets tackled into the cage by Bob. Bob maintains the clinch.
Bob scores with a shot to the side of Jason's head.

Bob manages to break the clinch.
Frank Bob is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Bob shoots for a double leg takedown but Jason sprawls well. He's pushed Bob's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Jason shoots in for a double leg but Bob sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Jason gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Bob to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Jason is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bob defends well.

Jason looking to control.
Jason thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Bob trying to control but Jason is working from the bottom.
Jason is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Bob wants to pass the guard but Jason is keeping the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
No joy there for Jason, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
The fight stays on the outside here - Bob looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Jason tries to clinch up.
Bob lands with a kick to the ribs.
Bob cracks Jason with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Bob throws a head kick that misses

and Jason decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Bob's guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Jason trying to control the position from guard on top but Bob is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Bob is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Frank Bob dominated that second round.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!


Bob stuffs the takedown attempt from Jason. Jason gets slowly back to his feet.

Jason clinches.
Jason tries to break free but Bob pushes him back against the cage.
Bob fails to pull guard.
Jason drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Bob works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jason working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bob doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bob manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Jason takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Bob in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Steven Jason has got the better of the ground game so far.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bob wants to control from the top but Jason keeps moving.
Bob tries to free his leg and advance position but Jason is retaining full guard.
Jason looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Bob passes into half guard.
Bob controlling the pace.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Jason wants to get back to full guard but Bob has mounted him!
Jason throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.
Jason tries to control Bob's body but Bob pushes him off. Jason squirms to his side and now Bob has his back!

Bob patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?
Jason tries to roll but Bob sticks to his back.
Jason tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Jason is in all sorts of trouble here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bob controlling from mount.
Bob prevents Jason from getting the reversal.
Jason wants to control but Bob is having none of it.
Bob works his way to his opponent's back.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Jason trying to control the hands but Bob breaks the grip.
Jason tries to escape the position.
Bob tries to keep control of the position but Jason is staying busy.
Bob lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Jason looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Jason tries to escape the position.

And that's the end of the fight!
Frank Bob showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Bob has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
