Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Leonardon Gonalez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rastum Hendo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gonalez shoots in for a takedown but Hendo shows good takedown defense.

Gonalez shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hendo's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gonalez seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Hendo for as long as he can get away with.

Hendo tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gonalez paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Gonalez fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Hendo to the ground. Gonalez is now in Hendo's guard.

Hendo is looking for a triangle but Gonalez pushes his legs off easily.
Gonalez wanted to stand there but Hendo had control of the position.

Hendo is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Gonalez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hendo swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Gonalez is pressed up against the cage. Hendo has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Gonalez down to the mat. Gonalez avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Gonalez feints and as Hendo raises his hands in defense, Gonalez changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
