Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cornelius Carr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Taylor Clark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cornelius Carr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 30 - 19 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Taylor Clark!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carr loads up on a big right hand but Clark slips the punch.
Clark lands a leg kick that knocks Carr off balance momentarily.
Carr swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Carr ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Clark moves away.
Carr swings and misses with a shot to the body

and Clark counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Carr is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Clark won't allow Carr to sweep him here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Clark looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Carr wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Clark is now in half guard.

Clark seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Clark is continuing to stall.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Carr is looking to improve his position.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Clark decides to stand up.
That kick from Clark tenderised Carr's leg. Carr is trying to keep his angry face on.
A nice inside leg kick there by Clark. That's going to slow Carr down.
Clark throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Carr swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

and Clark holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Carr takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Carr is trying to push Clark away but Clark has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Clark digs a right hand into Carr's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Carr's gas tank.

Carr swings wildly with an uppercut but Clark uses good head movement to avoid it.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Cornelius Carr has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Carr can't seem to implement his control oriented gameplan at the moment. That's no bad thing of course, for those of us who want to see a good fight.

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Cornelius Carr.

Carr stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Clark.
Taylor Clark seems to be getting the better of the standup.

and Clark counters with a single leg into guard. Carr didn't expect that.

Clark stands and steps away. Carr gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

The fight stays on the outside here - Clark looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Clark dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Carr. That did some damage!

Taylor Clark comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Clark has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
