Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Platini lands a nice shot to the body.

Day shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Day showed some decent athleticism there.
Day not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Day throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Day wants to stand up but Platini has a hold of him and won't allow it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Day thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Platini's head.

Day sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Platini defending well though.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Platini blocking the ground and pound attempt from Day.
Platini wants to get back to full guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Platini digs a good hook to Day's body.

Platini lands a big right hand that sends Day crashing to the mat! Platini stays standing though and waves Day back to his feet!

Day is rocked!
Platini fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Day square on the jaw! Damn, Day is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!
