The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gaines stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Gaines wants it to stay on the feet.
Gaines is looking to counter the offense by White and move into the clinch.

and White counters with a crisp one two that drops Gaines! White thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Gaines to his feet! Gaines is in big trouble!

Gaines lands a hook that snaps the head of White backwards.
White pushes off an throws an elbow but Gaines leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

White is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Gaines to keep the fight standing.

White lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
