Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sammy Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andy Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith comes to the cage accompanied by Bear The Scars by Stampin' Ground. Andy Johnson is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith misses with the combination.

Johnson instigates a clinch.

Smith escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Johnson creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Smith's defenses.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Smith is taking a breather. Johnson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Smith shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Smith is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Johnson tries to improve his position but instead Smith has taken his back!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Smith slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Johnson tries to roll but Smith sticks to his back.

Smith shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Johnson as he jumps to the side.

Smith shoots for a double leg takedown but Johnson sprawls well. He's pushed Smith's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Johnson doesn't manage to clinch there - Smith circles away.

Smith swats away the attempt to clinch by Johnson.

Johnson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Smith bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Johnson's guard.
