The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Potter shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Gustafsson as he jumps to the side.
Gustafsson shoots in looking for a takedown. Potter tries to sprawl out of it but Gustafsson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Potter manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Gustafsson avoids a punch combination nicely.
Gustafsson fails with a takedown attempt.
Potter slaps away a takedown attempt from Gustafsson, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alex Gustafsson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Potter lands a left and a right that send Gustafsson crashing to the mat, dazed. Potter thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Alex Gustafsson has been cut.
A combination from Potter does no damage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Potter tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gustafsson paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Potter throws a low kick, looking for Gustafsson's leg but Gustafsson calmly moves out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Potter has a takedown stuffed.
Potter steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Gustafsson is out on his feet! Potter sets himself and nearly takes Gustafsson's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!
