The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvarez misses with a hook
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
The Perfectionist wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Alvarez misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
The Perfectionist looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Alvarez on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Alvarez swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
The Perfectionist throws the kick towards the body but Alvarez avoids it.
Alvarez tests The Perfectionist's chin there with a solid looking shot.
The Perfectionist thows a leg kick but Alvarez checks it
and Alvarez counters with a nice uppercut.
Joseph Alvarez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The Perfectionist walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
The Perfectionist throws a wild body kick that Alvarez sees coming a mile off.
A head kick by Alvarez misses
and The Perfectionist makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Alvarez is breathing heavily.
The Perfectionist just misses with a punch to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The Perfectionist scores with a hook to the body. Alvarez takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
The Perfectionist misses with a jab, cross combination.
Alvarez is looking to counter punch.
The Perfectionist cracks Alvarez on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Alvarez falls backwards against the cage. The Perfectionist follows up with more strikes that drop Alvarez to his knees. The Perfectionist keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Alvarez! This one is all over!
