The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yuuki Gou and Yasuomi Hirokawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sorrow lands with a straight right. Rection didn't see that one coming.
Rection swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Sorrow fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Rection, pushing him back against the cage.
Sorrow misses with a hook from the clinch.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Rection.
Sorrow has a couple of punches blocked by Rection.
Sorrow lands a left hand that snaps the head of Rection backwards.

It looks like Hugh G Rection has been cut.
Sorrow scores with a hook to the body.
Sorrow will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Rection up against the cage.
Sorrow tries a body shot but Rection blocks it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sorrow lands a right hand.
Still in the clinch, Sorrow scores with a nice short uppercut.
Sorrow digs a right hand into Rection's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Rection's gas tank.

Rection drags the fight down to the ground.

Rection has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sorrow can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Rection is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Sorrow defends well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rection has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sorrow can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Rection throws his legs up looking for a submission but Sorrow uses it to pass to side control.

Rection tries to improve position but can't.
Rection is letting Sorrow control him for a moment.
Rection is trying to get back to half guard.
Rection regains half guard.
Sorrow knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rection on the ground.

Rection regains full guard. Nicely done.
Sorrow seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Rection is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Sorrow frees his head nicely. Oh but Rection has switched to an armbar! Sorrow is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
