Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bruno Davol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gaycer Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Davol's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Rammstein - Links 2 3 4. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bruno Davol!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gaycer Silva!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Daniel Cesar and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Davol scores a takedown into full mount!
Silva slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Silva is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Silva missing with punches from the bottom.
Davol blocks the strikes from Silva.
Silva is looking for a sweep. Davol is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Davol seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Silva does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Davol looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Davol wants to control but Silva is keeping him busy.

Davol wants to work for an arm triangle but Silva is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Davol lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Left hook, right uppercut from Davol.
Davol misses the shot to the body.
Davol tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Silva was well out of range. Poor timing from Davol.
Davol looks to land a combination but Silva avoids it well.
Davol avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

Silva fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Davol sprawls well initially but Silva persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Silva throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Davol wants to improve his position but Silva is controlling well.
Silva wants to pass the guard but Davol is defending well.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Silva trying to control the action but Davol is working from the bottom.

Silva looks to land a strike but Davol avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Davol misses with a straight left.
Davol has his takedown stuffed
and Silva counters with a lovely shot to the body.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Silva stands and throws Davol's legs to the side, diving into side control.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Silva decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Silva is looking for a kimura but Davol is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Silva to get the leverage.
Silva wants to control but Davol is keeping him busy.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Davol shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Silva tries to strike from the bottom.

Silva has his foot on Davol's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Davol works his way back into a safe position though.
Silva bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Davol's guard.

Davol is looking for a triangle but Silva pushes his legs off easily.

Davol avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Davol working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Silva.

Davol has his foot on Silva's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Silva works his way back into a safe position though.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Silva is looking to work some ground and pound but Davol has wrist control.

Silva thows a big elbow that misses.

Silva postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Davol misses with a takedown

and Silva counters with a single leg into guard. Davol didn't expect that.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Silva trying to control but Davol is working from the bottom.

Davol had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Silva is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Davol Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Silva's back instead.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Davol is trying to stick to Silva's back but Silva is turning into Davol. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Davol's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Silva.
Silva tries to free his leg and advance position but Davol is retaining full guard.

Davol has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Silva doesn't defend quickly enough and Davol has managed to lock this one up! Can Silva escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Davol on a fantastic submission victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Bruno Davol!
