Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Johans Jonassfson!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Albert Achterberg and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jonassfson moves into the clinch successfully.

Jonassfson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
A lazy left from Jonassfson finds it's target.
Nice sprawl there from Gledhill as Jonassfson shoots in.
Jonassfson shoots in for a double leg but Gledhill sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Jonassfson drives through and clinches with Gledhill against the cage.
Gledhill wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Ryan Gledhill has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johans Jonassfson.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jonassfson drags the fight down to the ground.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jonassfson can do anything to dispel that myth.
Jonassfson pulls Gledhill in to control the position.
Jonassfson's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Gledhill got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jonassfson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gledhill has managed to get both his arms back between Jonassfson's legs - danger averted.
Gledhill knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jonassfson on the ground.
Jonassfson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Gledhill manages to get himself to full guard.

Gledhill wants to stand and escape but Jonassfson is having none of it.
Gledhill trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Gledhill definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Jonassfson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Jonassfson is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Gledhill with a jab.

Jonassfson drives through and clinches with Gledhill against the cage.
Jonassfson lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Jonassfson lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.


It looks like Ryan Gledhill has been cut.
Jonassfson lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Gledhill backwards.

Jonassfson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Gledhill misses with a jab to the body
and Jonassfson counters with a good, hard body kick but Gledhill shrugs it off.
Nice takedown defense from Gledhill. No joy for Jonassfson on that attempt.
Ryan Gledhill is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Jonassfson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Gledhill pinned against the cage. Gledhill gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Jonassfson has taken the fight to the clinch.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gledhill lands with an uppercut that bounces Jonassfson off the cage and back into range.

Jonassfson has closed the distance and engaged Gledhill in a clinch.

Jonassfson decides to pull guard.

Jonassfson has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Gledhill doesn't defend quickly enough and Jonassfson has managed to lock this one up! Can Gledhill escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Jonassfson on a fantastic submission victory.
