PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Delbert Stark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zo Zing (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zo Zing will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Dean Styles and Eddie Farnsworth.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Zing closes the distance and pushes Stark back into the cage.
Zing lands a right hand.
Zing has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Stark avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Zing escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Zing throws a wild body kick that Stark sees coming a mile off.
Zing changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Stark tries to avoid it but Zing manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Stark to the ground. Stark escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Stark could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Zing throws a sloppy head kick and Stark moves out of range easily.

Zing is fighting off a takedown attempt but Stark is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Zing to the mat. Zing regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Stark remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Stark's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
