PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Wes Nerk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Slater (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick from Slater lands but Nerk takes it in his stride.
Slater lands a head kick. Nerk smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Nerk takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Nerk looks to clinch
and Slater makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Nerk moves to clinch but Slater breaks away
and Nerk takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Slater connects with a looping right hand.
Nerk tries to clinch up.
As Nerk backs off Slater throws a huge counter combo but Nerk manages to avoid it all.

Slater lands a big head kick that sends Nerk tumbling to the mat! Slater takes a step backwards and waves Nerk back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Nerk is rocked!

It looks like Wes Nerk has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Nerk loses concentration momentarily and Slater pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Nerk crashes face first to the mat, out cold! Slater finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.
