Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marco Ruas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ruas comes into the arena with Megadeth - Symphony of Destruction blaring out of the sound system. Silva comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Blood Brothers - Papa Roach kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silva uses his free foot to push down on Ruas's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Ruas.
Ruas seems to have got his legs back now.

Ruas is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Ruas is pressing down on Silva's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Ruas closes the distance and clinches up with Silva, looking for a takedown. Ruas pushes Silva against the cage but Silva circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Ruas fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Silva sprawls well initially but Ruas persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Silva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ruas. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
