I think Sanchez might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Not Afraid - Eminen. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Diego Sanchez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Johny Hendrics!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Seu Braga and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sanchez closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sanchez is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hendrics has escaped the position, nice work there.
Hendrics really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sanchez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Sanchez is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hendrics is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sanchez is looking to take a break and control but Hendrics is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Hendrics is looking for a sweep.

Sanchez working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Sanchez tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Sanchez has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

I wouldn't like to be where Hendrics is right now.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Sanchez is trying to get an arm triangle but Hendrics is defending well.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Sanchez scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Sanchez is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Hendrics defends it well.

Sanchez seems to be looking for submissions.
Hendrics has his hands clasped together around Sanchez's back. He's all about the action.
Hendrics is staying active underneath Sanchez, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Sanchez is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Hendrics's half guard.
Sanchez is trying to control. Hendrics wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Sanchez is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Hendrics can do to turn this around?
Hendrics looks like he's trying to stand up.
