PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yo Mama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Dotson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Winston Alpacca and Bart Greer.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mama shoots in looking for a takedown. Dotson tries to sprawl out of it but Mama keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dotson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Mama misses with a takedown

It looks like Yo Mama has been cut.

Mama shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Dotson manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Dotson wants to get back to his feet but Mama is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mama distracts Dotson with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mama slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Dotson has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Dotson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
A little jabbing left from Dotson on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

A jab-cross combination lands for Dotson and sends Mama crashing to the mat! Dotson follows him down to the mat - Mama regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

Dotson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mama. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Dotson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Mama has his foot on Dotson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Dotson works his way back into a safe position though.

Mama escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dotson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Mama is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Dotson defends well.

Mama is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Dotson has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Mama had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Dotson defends it easily.
