The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Helminen has closed the distance and engaged Williamson in a clinch.
Williamson tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Helminen smiles and moves away.

Helminen looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Williamson tries to get to full guard but Helminen has control of the leg.

Helminen decides to stand and escape the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Helminen closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Williamson to the mat! Williamson manages to get full guard.
Helminen seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Helminen got a little sloppy there for a moment and Williamson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Helminen has managed to get both his arms back between Williamson's legs - danger averted.

Helminen makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Helminen engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Helminen wants to get up but he can't break Williamson's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Williamson is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Williamson is looking to sweep but instead, Helminen has passed into half guard.
Helminen slows the pace down in half guard.
Helminen moves into full mount! Williamson won't be happy about that!
Williamson wants to hold on but Helminen pushes him away.
Williamson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Helminen's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Helminen postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Williamson looks a forlorn figure.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Williamson wants to control but Helminen is having none of it.
Williamson is trying to reverse the position but instead Helminen has taken his back - oops!
Williamson is breathing heavily.

It looks like Helminen might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Williamson just trying to survive but Helminen is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
Williamson is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Williamson looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
