The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jergensen fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Britian, pushing him back against the cage.
Jergensen is pushing Britian up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Jergensen has picked Britian up - he's going for a ride! Jergensen dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Jergensen wants to pass to mount but Britian is defending the position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jergensen takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Let's hope that Jergensen has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
It looks like Jergensen might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Britian wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Jergensen.
Britian knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jergensen on the ground.
