PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Helm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bison Bowden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Helm might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Spazzin - Gary Podunk. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Bison Bowden!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Peter Branson and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Helm. Bowden does a little dance to reset his feet.
Helm throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Bowden is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Helm with a body shot.
James Helm seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Helm throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Bowden on the side of the head.
Bowden moves out of range as Helm strikes.
Helm definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Helm loads up on a big right hand but Bowden slips the punch.
Helm lands a jab to the nose.
Bowden walks into a straight right hand from Helm.
Bowden throws a body shot but no joy.
Helm throws the left hand but Bowden avoids the punch easily.
Bowden is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Helm lands a nice shot to the body.

Oooooh!!! Helm has knocked Bowden down with a huge combo! Helm steps away and waves a wobbly Bowden back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Bowden is rocked!

It looks like Bison Bowden has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Helm closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Bowden out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!

A relieved looking James Helm thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
