Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Steven Hofmann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rocco Joaquin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hofmann comes into the arena with Die Klapperschlange blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joaquin shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hofmann but Hofmann pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Hofmann feints and then cracks Joaquin's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Joaquin down.
Hofmann works Joaquin's body with a nice hook.
Joaquin has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Hofmann.
Hofmann throws a nice inside leg kick.
Hofmann is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

It looks like Rocco Joaquin has been cut.

Hofmann darts in and clinches Joaquin up against the cage.
Hofmann prevents a takedown attempt there.
A short body shot lands from Hofmann as the two fighters clinch.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Hofmann.

Hofmann escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Hofmann has closed the distance and engaged Joaquin in a clinch.

Hofmann cracks Joaquin with a nice body shot.
Hofmann tries to work over Joaquin's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Hofmann manages to break the clinch.
Hofmann catches Joaquin with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Hofmann.
Joaquin takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Hofmann cracks the inside of Joaquin's front leg.
A slapping leg kick lands for Hofmann.

Hofmann clinches up with Joaquin and pushes him back against the cage.
Hofmann tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Hofmann scores with a hook to the body.
Joaquin tries to pull guard but Hofmann forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Steven Hofmann has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rocco Joaquin.
Joaquin is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Joaquin is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Hofmann is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
