Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Santos Godino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brendon Aberdeen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brendon Aberdeen struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 171.7lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Brendon Aberdeen will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brendon Aberdeen!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Gregory Folan and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aberdeen shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Godino sprawls well. Godino wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Aberdeen gets slowly back to his feet.
Godino changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Godino checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Aberdeen fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Aberdeen with a poor takedown
and Godino counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
It looks like Brendon Aberdeen has been cut.
Santos Godino has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brendon Aberdeen.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Aberdeen displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Godino.
Godino shoots in for a double leg but Aberdeen sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Aberdeen closes the distance but Godino moves to the side
and Godino scores with a counter punch that sends Aberdeen to the canvas! Godino smells blood - he's punishing Aberdeen with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Aberdeen has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:06 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Santos Godino!
