Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brian Mathews!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Dean Styles and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mathews thows a left - swing and a miss!
Mathews swings widly with a right hand
and Harris counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Harris wants to pass to mount but Mathews is defending the position.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Harris in particular looking to stall.
Harris is working for a kimura but Mathews is defending it quite comfortably.
Harris is looking to take a break and control but Mathews is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Harris content to control rather than advance.

Harris stops Mathews from getting back to his feet.

Harris perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Mathews throws a lazy uppercut
and Harris counters with a nice double leg into side control. Mathews won't be happy with that.
Mathews tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Harris wants to control the pace but Mathews is squirming around nicely.
Mathews is looking to get to half guard.

Mathews is squirming around, avoiding Harris's attempts to control the action.
Mathews tries to hold on but Harris postures up.
Harris looking for a guillotine from mount but Mathews is having none of it.
Harris takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.
Mathews is trying to stand back up.
Mathews is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Harris off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.

Harris just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Will Harris go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
Mathews really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Harris. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Harris is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Mathews is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Mathews is trying to get back to his feet but Harris has full control of the position and if anything, Mathews has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Harris is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Mathews with him. Mathews is trying to defend but Harris has an arm under the chin now! Mathews grimaces and is forced to tap out!
