Thiarles throws a head kick that Gill semi-blocks.

It looks like Trey Gill has been cut.

Thiarles darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Thiarles looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Gill wants to control but Thiarles is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Gill slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Thiarles pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Gill is keeping the position for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Thiarles throws a big right hand that misses.
Gill is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Thiarles is trying to maintain the position but Gill is very close to passing his half guard.

Gill is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Thiarles sees it coming and defends easily.
Gill stops Thiarles from getting back to his feet.

Gill maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Thiarles could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Gill has cracked it and Thiarles is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Gill!
