Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Gilchrist (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ravel Marques (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marques comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Slipknot - Before I Forget kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marques throws a head kick that misses.

Gilchrist shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Gilchrist is keen to just control but Marques is a slippery customer.

Gilchrist seems to be working for a kimura but Marques defends the submission attempt.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Marques gets caught napping as Gilchrist dives in and scores a takedown. Marques manages to retain guard.

Marques throws a sloppy head kick and Gilchrist moves out of range easily.
Gilchrist drops down looking for a counter takedown but Marques sprawls and moves away.
Gilchrist wants to land a leg kick but Marques is out of range.

Gilchrist changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Marques looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Gilchrist has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Marques!

Gilchrist is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Marques is forced to tap! Great finish!
