Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dick Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Langhi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dick Hunter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Michael Langhi!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Winston Alpacca and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunter misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Hunter has been working on his balance at Foot Loves, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Langhi.
Hunter looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Hunter misses with a takedown attempt - Langhi sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Langhi looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Langhi avoids the head kick by Hunter.
Hunter slips under a jab.

Langhi shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Hunter is trying to defend but Langhi finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Langhi stalling.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Langhi looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Langhi shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hunter sprawls well. Hunter wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Langhi gets slowly back to his feet.
Langhi throws the left hand but Hunter avoids the punch easily.
Hunter defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Langhi.
Langhi misses with a looping right.
Langhi throws an overhand right that lands on Hunter's shoulder, as Hunter tries to avoid the shot.
Hunter swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Nice takedown defense from Hunter. No joy for Langhi on that attempt.
Dick Hunter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Langhi.
Hunter uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Langhi.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nice defenses there by Hunter.
Langhi throws a body shot but no joy.
Hunter throws a right hand that Langhi ducks under and follows up with a left that Langhi also avoids with ease.
Hunter tries to clinch but Langhi moves out of range.
A nice side step and Langhi releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Langhi misses with a looping right.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Langhi is defended easily by Hunter.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Langhi throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
As Langhi looks to move away, Hunter throws a big counter combo bu Langhi just gets out of the way.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Langhi throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Hunter misses with a jab, cross combination.
Langhi throws out a counter right but Hunter avoids it with no problem.
Langhi shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hunter as he avoids it easily.
Langhi fails to land the takedown.
Dick Hunter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Langhi.
Hunter throws a leg kick but Langhi checks it.
Hunter ducks under a wild hook from Langhi.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Langhi.
Langhi shoots in and drives through. Hunter sprawls well.

Langhi clobbers Hunter with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.


It looks like Dick Hunter has been cut.
Langhi throws a looping overhand right but Hunter ducks down to avoid it.
Langhi dives in and grabs Hunter's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hunter pushes down on Langhi's head and hops out.
Langhi tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hunter was well out of range. Poor timing from Langhi.
Langhi misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Hunter.
Hunter takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
A looping hook to the body misses from Langhi. Hunter does a little dance to reset his feet.
Hunter feinted with a counter takedown.
Langhi misses the jab.
Hunter lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Langhi throws a jab but it's blocked by Hunter.
Hunter wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Langhi has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Langhi throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Hunter tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Langhi is in Hunter's guard.

Hunter utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Langhi with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Langhi throws a lazy right hand but Hunter sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Langhi shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hunter as he jumps to the side.

Hunter displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Langhi throws out the jab.

Michael Langhi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Dick Hunter's cut.
That's time! Hunter's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Langhi throws a pinpoint strike between Hunter's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Hunter crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Langhi scores a great knockout victory!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:13 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Michael Langhi!
Michael Langhi was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
